Only known from the type locality. S. collasi was described by Sturany (1904) from an undefined cave of the Mt. Pantokratoras in Kerkyra, which was then tentatively identified as the Katsouri Cave near Mparmpati where the species was re-discovered (Gittenberger 2000).
