The location of the cave is unknown. It was cited by Hirst (1922) as the site where the parasitic mite Liponyssus sternalis (=Macronyssus rhinolophi) was collected from a bat: "Host: A bat found in a cave near Lake Beshik, Salonika (27.17.1918), Dr James Waterston."
